According to reports, Chenxi is the red fortress of the East Zhejiang base area of the New Fourth Army, and the first CPC branch in Yunan area was established here. In recent years, Chenxi Township Central Primary School, which is rooted in red culture, has made great efforts to combine local red resources with the research of "new classroom walking on the road", gradually formed research activities with regional characteristics, and opened a new exploration of practical education.

Because it is adjacent to Lianglong, the core area of the anti-Japanese base area in eastern Zhejiang, and the dangerous situation around Shibiling is in the way, it is easy to defend but difficult to attack. Chenxi has become the throat area of the anti-Japanese base area in eastern Zhejiang, and established the logistics support base of the New Fourth Army in eastern Zhejiang and the "Nine Factories and Two Hospitals". Then, with the found answers, they set out to find the former site of the clothing factory and participated in the knowledge quiz to obtain cotton seeds and prizes.

It turns out that "nine factories and two houses" include printing factory, foundry, ordnance factory, leather factory, bomb factory, weaving factory, printing and dyeing factory, clothing factory, sole factory, New Fourth Military Hospital and Luxun College in eastern Zhejiang. This "nine factories and two houses" does not mean to build new houses, but directly uses the existing local temples, ancestral temples and even farmers’ homes, and is distributed in various villages. The clothing factory where students punch in is to provide bedding and clothing for the New Fourth Army. These red cotton seeds symbolize the bond of inheriting and inheriting red genes and culture.
After the research activities, the school organized students to plant the cotton seeds they punched in to the small "My Square Meter" comprehensive practice base in Chenxi Township, so that this red seed could take root in the practice base.
