China News Service, October 13, according to the website of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, a few days ago, Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and will recall some imported 2016 XC90, 2017 XC90 and S90 cars. According to the company’s statistics, a total of 9042 vehicles are involved in the Chinese mainland.
The details are as follows:
(1) Imported 2017 S90 vehicles produced between May 26, 2015 and September 7, 2016, with a total of 274 vehicles;
(2) The total number of 2016 and 2017 XC90 vehicles produced between April 15, 2015 and September 19, 2016 was 8,768.
The air-conditioning drain pipes of some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be improperly installed during the assembly process, which may cause condensate in the air-conditioning drain pipes to leak into the passenger compartment. If condensate leakage occurs and cannot be detected in time beyond a certain period of time, it will affect the normal operation of electrical systems such as air conditioners, and there are potential safety hazards.
Volvo Cars Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. will conduct free inspections of vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace air-conditioning drains if necessary to eliminate defects. Inventory vehicles will be sold after the defects are eliminated.
