Recently, the up owner "Territorial Alimu" (real name Liu Yuanjie), who was called "the background is too fake" by netizens, released a video saying that he has a new identity-a member of the State Political Consultative Conference. On January 12, the staff of Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture confirmed to reporters that Liu Yuanjie had been elected as a member of the State Political Consultative Conference.

According to Sanlian Life Weekly, in the summer of 2022, Liu Yuanjie also sold honey live in Xinjiang. Because of his rough image that was incompatible with natural beauty, he was often ridiculed by netizens in the live broadcast room as "the background is too fake". Subsequently, Liu Yuanjie shot a series of short videos "It’s really not a fake background", which were widely loved by netizens.

What did Liu Yuanjie do after he became popular? What does the new identity mean to him? On January 12, Red Star News talked with Liu Yuanjie, who talked about the gains of the past year and his expectations for the future.

Red Star News: From an anchor to a county CPPCC member, and then to a state CPPCC member, what changes have taken place in your work and life?

Liu Yuanjie:In fact, what I am doing has never changed. My initial goal was to do agriculture. Now I am a member of the State Political Consultative Conference, and my goal has not changed.

The only thing that has changed is that my sense of responsibility is stronger. I used to want to be a county e-commerce, bring this county together, and sell agricultural products with my friends and village cadres in this county. As a member of the CPPCC, we should think further and bigger.

Red Star News: In the follow-up work, apart from helping farmers broadcast live, what is your focus?

Liu Yuanjie:There is also the development of cultural tourism in Xinjiang. During this year, I traveled all over Xinjiang, getting to know Xinjiang better and knowing which places are particularly interesting and interesting. I tried it personally and wanted to share these places with my fans.

Busy building a live broadcast base during the "off-duty"

Red Star News: We have seen that your video account has not been updated as frequently as before for a period of time. What have you done during this period?

Liu Yuanjie:After the "fire", I want to build a team in the county to do "agriculture, countryside and farmers" with my friends. In those days, I was putting my ideas into practice.

We cooperated with the county to build an e-commerce live broadcast base with the theme of rural revitalization, with public welfare training every month. We also have cooperation with the Women’s Federation, and we will visit children in welfare homes and support them in performing.

Red Star News: Among these things, what is your greatest sense of accomplishment?

Liu Yuanjie:The most fulfilling thing is the establishment of an e-commerce live broadcast base with the theme of rural revitalization. With the support of the government, we must make achievements. This live broadcast base has increased employment opportunities and driven nearly 100 million sales.

Red Star News: Will the live broadcast platform consider recruiting people from the local area to be the anchor?

Liu Yuanjie:Yes, we mainly recruit people from the local area. We do training in the local area, and the staff will actively promote the cultural tourism, which has great influence. There is a village in our county called Luobu Village, which is a small village in the desert. With the joint efforts of everyone, the number of topics related to this village has soared, and the number of tourists has obviously increased.

Red Star News: In the future, will you consider being the main force of live broadcast?

Liu Yuanjie:I want my team to have a "fission". There are about 30 people in our team. Nowadays, everyone is split up and selling all kinds of agricultural products in different places in Xinjiang. I plan to focus on "behind the scenes" and cultural tourism in the future. It is the "reverse operation" that everyone said. When others are "on fire", they broadcast live with goods, but I was originally an anchor with goods. After the fire, I didn’t broadcast live and didn’t bring goods.

I think I should do something meaningful. I care more about honor than personal wealth. When I arrived in Xinjiang, my goal was to make agriculture a career, make a career an industry and drive a group of people. Now, what I am doing is to "drive a group of people".

Red Star News: What are your thoughts and prospects for the development of Xinjiang?

Liu Yuanjie:I think we should understand marketing and tell the story of Xinjiang well. Many people can’t tell Xinjiang stories, but only say "beautiful and beautiful", but when they are there, it is difficult to describe the feeling in words. I think people with good writing skills are needed to tell the story well.

When it comes to Xinjiang’s good stories, I am deeply impressed by several. There is a beekeeper who usually keeps bees to support his family and paints in his spare time. He made me feel that "bee chasers" in the fields can also have poems and distant places. There is also a disabled person in our village. Although his legs are gone, he is very strong and keeps bees, sheep and cattle himself. I see happiness and beauty in them. I am very happy to get along with them.

Red Star News: Which aspect will your proposal focus on at this year’s CPPCC Committee?

Liu Yuanjie:Policy issues and school-enterprise cooperation on the introduction of rural e-commerce talents. There is also the issue of supporting policies for returning entrepreneurs.

Red Star News: What are your new prospects in 2024?

Liu Yuanjie:In 2024, I hope the seeds I planted will blossom. The e-commerce live broadcast base has been built and the training has begun. I hope that in 2024, good news will come from all over Xinjiang.
