According to the publicity, the 25th China Patent Award selected 30 pre-winning projects of China Patent Gold Award, 10 pre-winning projects of China Design Gold Award, 60 pre-winning projects of China Patent Silver Award, 15 pre-winning projects of China Design Silver Award, 610 pre-winning projects of China Patent Excellence Award and 47 pre-winning projects of China Design Excellence Award.

Among them, a total of 81 universities were selected as the first patentee. The university with the most pre-award items is Tsinghua University, with a total of 5 items; Followed by Zhejiang University, Sun Yat-sen University, Beijing Institute of Technology and Shandong University, each with three pre-prizes.
